Dear December,

I know that this is my first actual post on this 'new' blog. I've been pretty caught up in some other things, including watching Emma grow so quick especially this past month, but I think I have some time to give this page some TLC, as well as an update for the very few viewers that i've got :)

So, I woke up this morning and realized that it was already December! And with that said, two things came to mind:
1] it's my 23rd birthday in three(3) days :)
2] my 25 Days of Christmas project officially starts TODAY.

I am kind of excited for my birthday because it's my first with my own little family, the three of us :) And just the sound of twenty-three sounds older, and much... wiser? Hah. We'll see. OH! and because I'm going out for dinner on Saturday night, I decided to keep it simple and planned to watch a movie with Emmanuel on the night of my actual birthday. I've got my heart set on watching Precious but he didn't seem so enthusiastic about it. It made me sad, 'cause I'm a suck like that haha. But earlier today, he couldn't wait to tell me that he made dinner reservations for O.Noir on that night instead, which now makes sense for his lack of interest in the movie! I now understandeth and am super excited! Weeeeeeehehehe :D

And in regards to my very first big scrap project, I panicked a little realizing I haven't even finished my base layouts for each of the 25 days this month. And on top of that, I have to complete my first day today. So earlier, with Emmanuel taking care of Emma, I was able to do a few more pages. I figured I still have a bit of time before I will reach the later pages, but will definitely get them all done as soon as possible so I'm not scrambling to do it on its actual day. That's one thing I will try to avoid. But I WILL complete this project (on time), no excuses!




If you're wondering why I have time to post about all this rather than actually getting more creative work done, Emma is sleeping peacefully and my husband is putting on our winter tires outside. A nice & quiet house, perfect for... blogging. hehehe :)

It's pretty simple. I put the letters on a plastic cover so hopefully I will make use of the space and slip a photo underneath or something.

Because this was my very first page, I put too much thought and time into it, as simple as it looks. But after this one page, I just threw what I had together to do the other ones in half the time.

I think my first day will be based on my realization that it is now actually December... aka, this blog post. Haha. Maybe I'll share it with you guys when I get it done later today :)

I'm pretty happy with what I've got, but I still have some work to do. I've been surprising myself with my creative capabilities. haha. Somewhat.


I'll try to put photos up of the before & afters of each day when I can find the time to and blog a little along the way, as well. And after Christmas, I'll show you guys the final product. Wish me luck! :)
